NPC has implemented an ‘instant on’ capability – we call it Secure Sleep. Secure Sleep is like pausing a DVD player—the computer immediately stops what it’s doing and is ready to start again when you want to resume working.
NPC’s Sleep Mode is one of the productivity features we like best because it allows you to effectively ‘turn on’ the notebook and get working quickly. Yet Secure Sleep does not sacrifice security.
To put an NPC notebook into Secure Sleep, just press the power button and close the lid. When in Secure Sleep mode, the notebook is safe and ready for travel. All the data it contains is encrypted and the encrypted data can only be accessed through the strong password or the fingerprint reader.
To start a notebook from Secure Sleep, just open the lid, press the power button, swipe your fingerprint and you are in. The process takes only a couple of seconds. Even better, your applications are still open just where you left them.
