Antivirus – For better or worse?

Here's a new security-threat: viruses that masquerade as antivirus software. In fact a recent Google study shows that 15% of all malicious web activity now comes from fake antivirus software.

The term 'antivirus software' is one of the most searched items on the web with over 115 million pages indexed in a Google search of the term. As a result, hackers are capitalizing by posting pages for bogus anti-virus software that appear up in your search results.
