Privacy by Design Course Presented to Certified Management Accountants of Ontario via Webinar
Qualifies for Continuous Professional Learning and Development (CPLD) credits for the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA Ontario)
Toronto, Ontario – August 22, 2011 – The course "Privacy by Design for the Certified Management Accountant: Using technology to protect your business and gain competitive advantage“ will be presented by webinar to the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario by Larry Keating, president and CEO of No Panic Computing on August 24, 2011. The course qualifies for Continuous Professional Learning and Development (CPLD) credit for the CMA.
The course, tailored to the computing needs of independent Certified Management Accountants, discusses building privacy into your business through the acquisition of right technology and the adoption of best practices. It teaches how to maintain professional standards, protect client privacy, improve customer trust, enhance your professional reputation, reduce legal liabilities, create efficient operations and ultimately gain a clear business advantage. Best practices discussed are the need and understanding of secure data backup, anti-malware software, passwords, biometrics, encryption and other elements of making privacy the default condition of your personal computer.
Mr. Keating has served as former founding chairman of the Ministers’ Technology Advisory Group for the Province of Ontario; former member of the Chair’s Advisory Council on e-Government for the Province of Ontario and currently serves as an ambassador for Privacy by Design for the Privacy Commissioner of Ontario and as a technical advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the Aboriginal Computer Literacy Program.
