No Panic Computing Adds Multitouch Tablet and Ultra-Light Notebook PCs Featuring the Intel Core vPro Processors
NPC introduces professionally managed lightweight models ideal for highly mobile professionals

Toronto, Ontario – May 31, 2010 - No Panic Computing® today introduced a professionally managed multitouch tablet as well as a professionally managed ultra-light notebook to its product line. The new models, based on the HP EliteBook 2740p and 2540p, feature Intel® Core™ vPro™ processor technology.
With the combination of the HP EliteBook 2740p and 2540p models and the No Panic Computing Notebooks-as-a-Service™ (NaaS™) expert, data centered managed solution, professionals no longer have to engage in do-it-yourself computing, ultimately giving them a clear business advantage.
Ideal for the small business professional, both models are professionally set up, secured and supported by a team of technical, security and data backup experts. They include essential IT services such as remote backup, enhanced security, set up, customization, optimization, diagnostics, monitoring, remote troubleshooting, remote repair, a 24/7 helpdesk and much more.
Featuring the Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ 520M processor, the HP EliteBook 2740p is an ultra-thin, multitouch-enabled convertible tablet that provides an interactive experience. It combines the power and reliability of an HP business notebook PC with the flexibility of a tablet, making it ideal for users on the go. The 2740p starts at 3.8 pounds and includes a 12.1-inch diagonal LED outdoor-view display that has less reflection and a higher contrast for easier viewing in natural light. The included touchscreen option allows users to get work done more intuitively and faster based on their choice of input methods. Multitouch gestures, finger taps and swipes across the screen allow users to navigate through applications and menus, as well provide access to information and websites.
Featuring the Intel Core i7 vPro 640LM processor, the HP EliteBook 2540p is the lightest offering in the No Panic Computing portfolio and is equipped with a 12.1-inch diagonal LED display.
The HP EliteBook 2740p and 2540p both offer a classic aluminum finish, a full magnesium-alloy chassis, integrated 2 MP webcam, fingerprint reader, Intel Core vPro processor, a high-definition display, are ENERGY STAR® qualified and are engineered to meet the tough MIL-STD 810G military-standard tests(1) for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high and low temperatures.
The NPC models based on the HP EliteBook 2740p and 2540p are available for $149.95 a month and $129.95 a month respectively and are shipping in July.
