Safe Computing Session to be Presented to Certified Management Accountants of Ontario
Qualifies for Continuous Professional Learning and Development (CPLD) credits for the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA Ontario)
Toronto, Ontario – May 25, 2010 – The session "Safe Computing for the Management Accountant. Are You Putting Your Time, Business and Reputation at Risk?” presented by Larry Keating, president and CEO of No Panic Computing qualifies for Continuous Professional Learning and Development (CPLD) credit for Certified Management Accountants of Ontario. The session will be conducted via a lunch and learn format on May 27, 2010, at the Microsoft Dynamics Business Lounge at 70 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario and will be subsequently rolled out to other regions in Ontario.
The session, tailored to the computing needs of independent Certified Management Accountants, covers the need for and understanding of secure data backup, anti-malware software, passwords, biometrics, encryption and other elements of safe computing.
Mr. Keating has served as former founding chairman of the Ministers’ Technology Advisory Group for the Province of Ontario; former member of the Chair’s Advisory Council on e-Government for the Province of Ontario and currently serves as a technical advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the Aboriginal Computer Literacy Program.
