Toronto, Ontario – March 3, 2010 –Advocis Toronto has confirmed that one (1) continuing education credit has been awarded by the CLU Institute for the presentation entitled "Warning! Are You Putting Your Time and Business at Risk? Smart, Secure Computing for the Independent Financial Professional" at the Technology @ Your Service workshop taking place on March 3rd, 2010. This presentation, provided by Larry Keating, president and CEO of No Panic Computing, is focused on smart, secure computing for the insurance and financial professional.

No Panic Computing is a Gold Sponsor of Advocis Toronto, the largest chapter of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada, a not for profit professional association of financial and insurance advisors while the CLU Institute is the standards body for The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.

The course, offered by No Panic Computing and tailored to financial professionals, covers the need and understanding of secure data backup, the internet, anti-malware software, passwords, biometrics, encryption and other elements of smart computing.  It includes a ‘Laptop Walk-in Clinic’ where the No Panic Computing technical staff will conduct a hands-on tune-up of each attendee’s laptop.

“The payoff to the financial advisor of a well managed secure computer that is in compliance with federal and provincial privacy requirements comes in many ways” said Larry Keating.  “The financial agent will maintain his professional standards, protect his client’s privacy, have improved customer trust, will enhance his own professional reputation, reduce his legal liabilities, have more efficient operations and ultimately have a clear business advantage.”
